The kick-off event of ICEDA program was held on 17th of November 2020, in Tirana, Albania, organized by MJAFT! Movement, program partner of the project for Albania. The meeting was attended by representatives of The Agency for the Delivery of Integrated Services Albania, National Agency for the Security of Information, Parliament of the Republic of Albania, Municipality of Tirana, Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, as well as Akademi.al.
This meeting served to present all the main objectives of the program and its results by the end of the implementation period, as well as an opportunity to discuss with these relevant institutions what are their plans in digitalization in the future and how to coordinate the activities to improve the current situation. Also, another discussed topic was the participants' needs for trainings, where the most highlighted one was assistance for strategies development based on the experiences of other European countries who could be considered as successful in digitalization of public services.
During the meeting, MJAFT represented the main findings of the country report on the progress of digitalization, referring to:
- Digital literacy and e-services;
- Transparency and access to public sector information;
- Citizens participation;
- Data privacy;
- International cooperation;
- Cyber security
The “Increasing Civic Engagement in the Digital Agenda – ICEDA” project is implemented by Metamorphosis Foundation (North Macedonia), e-Governance Academy (Estonia), Levizja Mjaft!, CRTA – Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability (Serbia), NGO 35mm (Montenegro), and Open Data Kosovo (ODK). The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union.
